Rockingham Emergency Veterinary Hospital is a privately-owned (NOT corporate), well-established (2009) but still rapidly growing 24/7 emergency and urgent care hospital in Windham, NH. To accommodate our growth, last summer we completed a building expansion (adding extra storage, a specialty treatment room, conference room, doctor’s office, and an expanded radiology room), and we just completed a parking lot expansion that nearly doubled our parking capacity. Our hospital includes a full in-house laboratory, newly upgraded DR Xray, ultrasound, isolation ward, and a surgical suite fully equipped for all soft tissue surgery, including electrocautery and state-of-the-art patient monitoring equipment. We have a new Snyder ICU cage, and an OGSI oxygen generating system so we are not reliant on tanks and never run out of oxygen. We are paperless and utilize EzyVet cloud-based software. New equipment is added on a regular basis based on requests from staff.

ER Doctors

REVH is seeking full-time emergency veterinarians with at least 1 year of experience or internship training, however a new graduate would also be considered based on experience.

We provide an excellent staff to doctor ratio, and support staff are well-paid, highly-skilled, and properly utilized so that doctors are free to do doctor stuff.

Full-time ER doctors work a set schedule, averaging 3 shifts per week with large blocks of time off. We understand that ER shifts can be challenging and we strive to make sure our doctors can maintain a good work-life balance while still enjoying the excitement of ER medicine!

The ideal candidate has outstanding medical and surgical skills (our doctors perform all emergency surgeries), is confident (but able to check their ego at the door), organized, can multitask, and knows how to delegate in a team environment. Experience or comfort with exotics is a plus, as REVH also treats exotic pets. Above all, the ideal candidate is a good communicator, a team player who gets along well with others, and doesn’t take themselves too seriously!

Emergency Technician

Emergency Technician Needed! Rockingham Emergency Veterinary Hospital (REVH) is seeking full time and per diem experienced ER technicians to join our fun and skilled team!

The ideal applicant:
• Is preferably credentialed (LVT, CVT, RVT).
• Has at least 1 year of experience and excellent clinical skills, exotics experience would be a huge plus!
• Has excellent communication and client service skills.
• Works well independently AND in a team environment.
• Has the ability to multi-task, pay attention to detail, prioritize, is organized, and work with little to no supervision
• Is a confident surgery/ anesthesia technician.
• Has strong computer skills (we are paperless).
• Is available weekends and some holidays.

The job entails:
• Triaging incoming patients
• CPR assistance, placement of central lines, nasal oxygen, urinary catheters, etc (based on experience and training)
• Assisting in stabilizing patients as required
• Performing in-house diagnostic tests (Xray, blood, urine, etc)
• Inducing, prepping, maintaining and monitoring surgical patients
• Client communication
• Provide timely inpatient treatment and care
• Maintain continuous hospital flow
• Occasional reception duties
